The opening ceremony of the Carbamide Plant, whose foundation was laid in 2011, took place on January 16, 2019, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The design and construction of the plant located in the city of Sumgait was carried out by South Korea’s “Samsung Engineering” based on the technology of “Haldor Topsoe” of Denmark for ammonia production and “Stamicarbon BV” of the Netherlands for urea production.
